Hi Reader Earlier this week I was walking on the treadmill when I accidentally overheard a conversation I wasn’t trying to eavesdrop on (funny, it was one of those days where I FORGOT my headphones, so I was able to hear everything happening around me and I just happened to hear THIS). Two women, probably in their late 60s or early 70s, were walking next to me talking about menopause. It started because one of them mentioned that her daughter (or maybe daughter-in-law) had gone through menopause early. From there, the conversation naturally shifted to hormone replacement therapy. One woman shared that she had really struggled through menopause but never took HRT because she had always been told it wasn’t safe. The other woman responded, “I’ve heard that’s actually not true anymore… that there were problems with the original study.” I have to admit… hearing that made me smile. Not because every detail of the conversation was perfectly accurate, but because it reminded me that women are finally starting to question some of the outdated messages we’ve lived with for decades. As they kept talking, more questions came up. Someone they knew wasn’t sure if she was a candidate for hormones because of a family history of cancer. Someone else had gone through menopause early. They talked about mood changes, symptoms, and things they’d heard over the years. As I listened, I found myself thinking… This is exactly where so many women are. They’re trying to make sense of one of the biggest transitions of their lives by piecing together conversations with friends, something they saw online, advice from years ago, and whatever information happens to find them. Honestly… it’s no wonder so many women feel overwhelmed. One of the things I’m most passionate about is helping women move beyond fear and confusion so they can make informed decisions about their health. Over the years, through my training as a personal trainer, holistic nutritionist, menopause coaching specialist, and eight years of mentorship with one of the leading hormone physicians in the country, I’ve learned that there are rarely simple answers. The body is incredibly interconnected, and the more I’ve learned, the more convinced I’ve become that women deserve personalized, evidence-based guidance—not one-size-fits-all advice. For me, that means looking at the whole picture. Hormones absolutely matter. So does nutrition. So does strength training. So does metabolic health. So does stress. So does sleep. They all influence one another, which is why I never believe in chasing just one solution. I’m a strong advocate for women having evidence-based conversations about hormone replacement therapy with a knowledgeable provider. I also believe every woman deserves a personalized strategy that considers her symptoms, health history, goals, and the many factors that influence how she feels—not just one piece of the puzzle. This is why I LOVE my Midlife Metabolic Clarity Sessions. During this one-time private session, we connect the dots between your symptoms, lifestyle, metabolic health, hormones, and any existing lab work you already have (or you can even order your own here!). You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of what’s happening in your body and a personalized strategy for what to focus on NEXT. This gives you the tools to get out of a "freeze" state of information overload and into taking action in a step-by-step way that actually makes sense for your body. If that sounds like exactly what you’ve been looking for, you can learn more here: 👉 [Midlife Metabolic Clarity Session] Because if there’s one thing that conversation reminded me… Women don’t need more opinions. Hi ReaderI'll never forget my client from a few years ago, Rebecca... She came to me as a "pro dieter" (she even called herself that!) and told me she had done every diet in the book. They all would work for some time and then she would "get lazy" and "cheat" and she would stop losing or regain the weight (those are the words she used). She came to me literally asking for more willpower and motivation and said that she had lost all of hers and didn't know how to get it back so she could...
