Fun Friday 😂 | Things I Thought Would Be Easier by Midlife

Hi Reader

Happy Friday! 😂

I genuinely thought I’d have this whole adulthood thing figured out by now.

Surely by midlife I’d have it all together?

Apparently not.

Here are a few things I thought would be easier by now.

Which ones can you relate to or what can you add? Reply back- I seriously want to know!

Remembering why I walked into a room...
Still working on this one.

Getting enough sleep.
I know exactly how important it is. My child has other opinions. 😂

Recovering from a hard workout.
I can still DO the workout. It’s the next morning that’s negotiable.

Figuring out what’s for dinner.
I can literally help someone create an entire nutrition strategy and still stand in my kitchen at 5:30 thinking, “Okay... but what are WE eating?” 😂

Figuring out what my body is going to tolerate today.
Apparently, I needed another layer of complexity when deciding what to eat. 😂

Knowing what to wear in Florida.
It’s hot. I’m cold. Now I’m sweating. Now I’m freezing. Cool.

Remembering all the things I told myself I was going to do.
There was a plan. It was excellent. I have no idea where it went.

And probably the biggest one...

Having everything figured out.
I really thought I’d arrive at this stage of life with all the answers.

Instead, I’m realizing maybe that’s not actually the goal.
I'm realizing that knowing myself, trusting myself and not having the expectation that I should have it all figured out is my goal.

Because I know I have people in my corner—friends, family, and people I can be completely myself with. People I can open up to without feeling like I have to be fake or have everything together all the time.

And if you're reading this, I hope you know you don't have to figure it all out alone, either. I'm in your corner. ❤️

Honestly?

I’ll take that version of midlife. ❤️

Happy Friday!

Hi ReaderI'll never forget my client from a few years ago, Rebecca... She came to me as a "pro dieter" (she even called herself that!) and told me she had done every diet in the book. They all would work for some time and then she would "get lazy" and "cheat" and she would stop losing or regain the weight (those are the words she used). She came to me literally asking for more willpower and motivation and said that she had lost all of hers and didn't know how to get it back so she could...

Hi Reader Have you ever gone on a "diet" and actually lost weight? Most of the women I speak with have but the reason they are seeing me is because they were not able to maintain their losses and/or now they are stuck feeling like even their old methods aren't working anymore. So, this is actually useful information because if you find you HAVE lost weight in the past, then you don't actually have a weight loss problem! yay, good news! So, what is the problem then? Why did the weight come...
