Peanut Butter and Jelly Crispy Protein Bars Recipe

You guys... these homemade no-bake protein bars have been giving me life lately!! And they are PERFECT for us women over 35 who are struggling with hormones, digestive issues, and getting in enough protein and fiber. These bars contain 42% of your daily value of omegas, 12g protein, 5.3g fiber and have no gluten, dairy or refined sugar.

I've always tended toward a "sweet tooth" and I've managed to find ways to satisfy that without refined sugar, like 99% of the time. This recipe is a good example of that.

In fact, making high protein desserts is one of my favorite pastimes, haha.

I find the convenience of a protein bar to be VERY helpful for my lifestyle BUT, I'm not super satisfied with the ones I see in the store...

Thus, I started making my own (see recipe below!)

However, if you're one who doesn't see yourself making protein bars in your kitchen, don't worry... I've got you. Here are some of my fav store-bought bars that are decent in terms of ingredients.

Note that... whenever possible, when I'm hungry I try to eat something more substantial that will be more satisfying BUT... protein bars are great when:

  • you're not hungry but know you need some fuel (hello GLP-1 clients!)
  • want a little sweet treat but also some protein and fiber
  • need to fill in a nutritional gap in your diet
  • want a healthy snack option
