Hi Reader, Happy Friday! I have another quick challenge for you today... Can you do a frog squat? 🐸 And before you say, "A what now?" Hear me out. 😂 I posted a quick video of it here if you want to see what I mean: 👉 [Check out my Frog Squat Here!] Now give it a try. Can you comfortably lower yourself into a deep squat with your feet flat on the floor? Can you hang out there for a few seconds? 30 seconds? more? Can you get back up without feeling like you need a recovery plan afterward? 😅 It might seem like a random thing to test... But it actually tells you quite a bit about your body. Because a frog squat requires: 👉 Hip mobility 👉 Ankle mobility 👉 Lower body strength 👉 Balance and coordination 👉 The ability to comfortably get up and down from the floor And here's why that matters. As we move through our 30s, 40s, and beyond, we naturally lose mobility, strength, and muscle if we're not actively working to maintain them. That's not just a fitness issue. It's a quality of life issue. And honestly? It's a metabolic health issue too. Because staying active, moving well, and maintaining muscle all play a role in supporting your metabolism, body composition, and overall health as you age. One of the fastest ways to lose strength is to stop moving through your full range of motion. The frog squat helps you keep access to a position that many adults gradually lose over time. So... Could you do it? 👀 If not, don't panic. This isn't a pass-or-fail test. It's information. And the good news is that mobility and strength can absolutely improve with the right training and practice. In fact, this is one of the reasons I include mobility and strength milestones inside my coaching programs. Because while most women come to me focused on weight loss, what we're really building is something much bigger: Strength. Mobility. Confidence. And a body that supports the life they want to live.
