"But I eat so healthy..."

Hi Reader,

A common phrase I hear from women is....

"But I eat SO healthy... why can't I lose weight?"

And honestly?

I believe them. This used to be me, as a matter of fact!

Many of the women who come to me are already eating:

✓ Organic

✓ Low carb

✓ Very little sugar

✓ No seed oils

✓ Whole, minimally processed foods

✓ Lots of vegetables

They're making a tremendous effort.

So why aren't they seeing the results they deserve?

Because healthy eating and strategic eating aren't always the same thing—especially in midlife.

Here are a few reasons why...

1. Your body has changed.

Hormonal shifts in midlife can change how your body responds to food, stress, exercise, sleep, and even recovery.

Insulin sensitivity may change.

Inflammation may increase.

Stress hormones can become more disruptive.

What worked in your 20s or even your late 30s may no longer be enough.

2. You're focusing on ingredients... but not necessarily on your metabolism.

I absolutely care about food quality.

But many women become so focused on reading ingredient labels that they forget to ask:

"Is this meal actually supporting my metabolism?"

Things like:

• Protein intake

• Muscle-building nutrition

• Meal composition

• Blood sugar stability

• Fueling enough to support recovery

These often have a much bigger impact than simply buying the "cleanest" version of every food.

3. Healthy foods still contain calories.

This one surprises a lot of women.

You can absolutely overeat calories from healthy foods.

Nuts.

Nut butters.

Avocados.

Olive oil.

Trail mix.

Granola.

Even "healthy" snacks.

That doesn't mean these foods are bad.

It simply means that healthy eating doesn't automatically create a calorie deficit.

And for many women, weight loss eventually requires some degree of calorie deficit.

The key is knowing if your body is actually ready for one.

Because sometimes jumping into a bigger deficit is exactly the wrong move.

4. You're trying to solve the wrong problem first.

This might be the biggest one of all.

Sometimes the issue isn't your food at all.

It's stress.

Poor sleep.

Loss of muscle.

Low daily movement.

Thyroid dysfunction.

Gut health.

Inflammation.

Or simply trying to do too many things at once.

Until you understand what's actually holding YOUR body back, it's easy to spend years tweaking food without making real progress.

That's exactly why I created my Midlife Metabolic Clarity Session.

This isn't another meal plan.

It's not another macro calculator.

And it's definitely not another list of foods to avoid.

It's a personalized strategy session where we'll uncover what's most likely standing between you and the results you're working so hard for.

Together, we'll create a roadmap so you can stop guessing and finally know where to focus your time and energy.

Because most women don't need more willpower (seriously!)

They need more clarity (AKA, knowing what to focus on first, what to let go of, and what's blocking results!)

If you've been thinking,

"I'm doing everything right... so why isn't this working?"

I'd love to help. Let's figure it out together!

New July spots are now open!

Hi Reader, One of the biggest shifts I made in my own health journey—and one of the biggest things I teach my clients—is this: Your hormones don't work alone. When most women start struggling in midlife, they immediately assume they need to "fix their hormones." And while hormones absolutely matter... They're only one piece of the picture. Your hormones are constantly interacting with your gut, your liver, your thyroid, your blood sugar, your nervous system, your sleep, and even your muscle...

Hi Reader If I had a dollar for every woman who sat across from me and said... "My doctor told me everything looks normal." ...even though she felt like garbage. She's sitting in front of me saying... I can't lose weight. My energy is tanked. I'm waking up all night. My cycles have changed. My hair is thinning. I'm snapping at my family over everything. To name a few things.... So… now what? Here’s what many women don’t realize: “Normal” doesn’t always mean “optimal.” Most standard lab...

Hi Reader, Happy Friday! If you’ve been around here for a while, you’ve probably heard me mention my Metabolic Mocha. It’s one of my favorite morning rituals and one of the easiest ways I practice what I call Intentional Fuel—taking something I’m already enjoying and making it work harder for my body. Instead of just drinking a regular cup of coffee, I turn it into a creamy mocha that helps support me because it includes: ☕ Protein to help me hit my daily protein goals and support muscle. 🦴...
