Hi Reader Most women who come to me have the same goals. They want to lose body fat, build lean muscle, and finally feel like themselves again. The problem is, they're also feeling stuck. They're eating healthy, exercising consistently, and wondering why nothing seems to be working anymore. Here's a perfect example of why getting "unstuck" can look completely different from one woman to the next. Last month I met with two women. Both wanted to lose body fat, build lean muscle, and feel stronger. Both considered themselves healthy eaters. They exercised regularly, cared about their health, and were genuinely frustrated because despite all of their effort, their bodies just weren't responding the way they expected. If you had looked at them on paper, you probably would have assumed they needed the same nutrition plan. But they didn't. The first woman had been told for years that carbs were the problem. She had slowly cut them out of her diet, carried most of her weight around her midsection, struggled with cravings, and felt like she was constantly fighting her body. The second woman had spent years trying every diet she could find. She was eating very little, skipping breakfast most mornings, working out on an empty stomach, and was terrified that eating more would make her gain weight. She wasn't carrying a lot of extra weight, but she felt softer than ever, had very little muscle tone, and was exhausted most days. Now here's what surprised them... If I had given both of these women the exact same nutrition plan, I probably would have made both of them more frustrated. The first woman needed a fueling strategy that supported better blood sugar control and improved insulin sensitivity. The second woman actually needed more food—especially more protein and healthy carbohydrates—so her body finally had enough fuel to recover, build muscle, and respond to the strength training she was already doing. Same goal. Completely different strategy. This is one of the biggest misconceptions I see in midlife nutrition. So many women spend their days wondering, "Can I eat this?" "Is this food good or bad?" or "What's the healthiest thing to eat?" But I think we're asking the wrong questions. The better question is: "What does my body actually need right now?" Healthy foods absolutely matter. But healthy foods alone don't create results. The right fueling strategy depends on what your metabolism needs, how you're fueling your workouts, your body composition, your hormones, your lifestyle, and even your dieting history. That's why two women can both be eating "healthy" or "clean" and have completely different outcomes. It's also why I don't hand every client the same meal plan. Inside the Metabolic Transformation Method, I don't start with a meal plan. I start by understanding YOU.... I think this is one of the most freeing things women discover when we start working together. They realize they weren't failing or lacking discipline! They simply needed a strategy that matched the body they have today instead of the body they had twenty years ago. And, once they know their strategy and understand their body, it all becomes EASIER instead of harder. Healthy eating is important. But healthy eating isn't the goal. Building a healthy metabolism is. And that often requires a very different nutrition, fitness, and lifestyle strategy than you might expect. ❤️, Metabolic Health Strategist for Women Over 35 P.S. If you've ever felt like you're doing everything "right" but your body still isn't responding, I created a free guide to help explain why. "Doing Everything Right... But Still Not Losing Weight After 35" walks through some of the most common reasons women hit this frustrating plateau—and what to focus on instead.

Hi ReaderI'll never forget my client from a few years ago, Rebecca... She came to me as a "pro dieter" (she even called herself that!) and told me she had done every diet in the book. They all would work for some time and then she would "get lazy" and "cheat" and she would stop losing or regain the weight (those are the words she used). She came to me literally asking for more willpower and motivation and said that she had lost all of hers and didn't know how to get it back so she could...
Hi Reader Happy Friday! 😂 I genuinely thought I’d have this whole adulthood thing figured out by now. Surely by midlife I’d have it all together? Apparently not. Here are a few things I thought would be easier by now. Which ones can you relate to or what can you add? Reply back- I seriously want to know! Remembering why I walked into a room...Still working on this one. Getting enough sleep.I know exactly how important it is. My child has other opinions. 😂 Recovering from a hard workout.I can...
